UAE stripped of the FEI World Endurance Championships 2016

The FEI Bureau has stripped the UAE of the FEI World Endurace Championship.

The Bureaus have stated they believe the UAE NF is “not currently in a position to guarantee that horse welfare would be fully protected” at the Championships.

As a result, patient the Championships, will undergo a bidding process to find a replacement venue outside the UAE.

The deadline for receipt of bids is 18 May and the allocation to a new host will be made during the Bureau teleconference on 14 June.

It is expected that the Championships will now take place in September or October.
