Tissot Announced as Official Timekeeper of Baku 2015

The inaugural 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan have secured a new sponsor with watch brand Tissot coming on board as the official timekeeper and partner of the event. 

The 2015 European Games are the inaugural edition of a continental European Games, with Baku chosen to host the event on December 8, 2012, during a European Olympic Committee General Assembly in Rome.

The deal, signed with Tissot and its sister company of the Swatch Group, Swiss Timing, will provide all timing and scoring services for next summer’s event, set to take place from June 12-28.

Tissot will also be provided exclusive rights to use the Baku 2015 Games marks, logos, and designations worldwide.

Simon Clegg, chief operating officer of Baku 2015, said: “I am delighted to welcome Tissot both as official timekeeper and an official partner of the Baku 2015 European Games.
“This association provides strong assurance for the timekeeping and scoring at the Games, and also the opportunity to promote Baku 2015 internationally through a high calibre brand of strong, international repute.”
