Texas Rangers and Blue Bell Ice Cream Extend Partnership

July 22, 2013

Blue Bell and Texas Rangers have announced a five-year sponsorship deal in which Blue Bell will continue to be the official ice cream of the Major League Baseball (MLB) team.

The five year expansion of their partnership, which first began in 2011, will extend through the 2018 season. The partnership will include radio inventory on the team’s broadcasts, hospitality elements, and vending of Blue Bell Ice Cream within Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the Texas Rangers. The Rangers are a first class organization that continues to do things right,” said Blue Bell Regional Manager John Gillespie. “Our association with the Rangers is a natural fit; a great Texas Baseball team, a great ballpark with the best fans… We have enjoyed our relationship with the Rangers and look forward to many more years of first class Texas Rangers baseball and Blue Bell Ice Cream.”

“The Rangers are thrilled to be extending our partnership with Blue Bell and the good folks who run the creamery,” commented Joe Januszewski, Rangers Executive Vice President, Business Partnerships and Development. “We take special pride in doing business with Texas-based companies and Blue Bell has been making premium ice cream in Brenham for over a century.”
