Strategic Leadership in global sport has never been more important

March 1, 2016

England cricket supremo Andrew Strauss, allergist FA Technical Director Dan Ashworth, Rob Andrew Professional Rugby Director at The RFU and GB cycling mastermind Andy Harrison lead a star studded team at the second global Sporting Directors’ summit.

They will be joined by an A-list headline speaker from the world of politics who’s name for security reasons can not yet be revealed, in thrashing out the strategic challenges facing elite sports leaders.

A 150-strong invite only audience packed with senior cross sport influencers from around the world will enjoy a dinner at the sumptuous MayFair Hotel in London. The event is organised by VSI who’s focus is to pioneer tomorrow’s leaders in sport and business through education and performance. In partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University

The University is proud to be at the heart of a city with sport deeply engrained in its DNA and their Masters Degree in Sporting Directorship is the jewel in its sporting crown.

Two high profile cohorts of elite sporting executives are currently studying for this ground- breaking qualification and it is the aim of VSI and MMU to create over a four year period an elite band of executive game changers.

Spectacular fiscal growth over the last four years across a range of sports has forced and governing bodies across the globe to radically shake up their corporate infrastructure.

We believe that the Sporting Director will be at the heart of the executive management of sporting organisations with our graduates perfectly placed to take on this enormous challenge.

Master of ceremonies at this this invite only event is Sky Sports presenter James Cooper but despite the presence of TV cameras, the event itself will fall under strict Chatham House rules.

This will facilitate free and candid debate and should be a headline grabbing night to remember!
