Steeden has signed a five year deal to supply kit to South Africa’s national rugby league team. Steeden will also serve as the official licensee of all merchandise for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup should South Africa’s bid to host the tournament be successful.

South Africa’s bid is up against a combined bid from Australia and New Zealand for the right to stage the event in four years time.

Following the announcement of Steeden, the rugby equipment firm, coming on board as the official licensee, Steeden’s Jaque van der Merwe said: “Steeden SA is synonymous with success and quality and we plan to be part of that success.
