Skoda Becomes Official Car of RideLondon Cycling Festival

Skoda UK has announced a three year sponsorship deal which will see it become ‘The Official Car of Prudential RideLondon cycling festival.

Prudential RideLondon is an annual world-class festival of cycling developed by the Mayor of London, ampoule London & Partners and Transport for London in partnership with Surrey County Council. The inaugural Prudential RideLondon festival is set to take place on the 3-4 August 2013, and is managed by the London & Surrey Cycling Partnership (LSCP) – a joint partnership between The London Marathon Limited (owners and operators of the London Marathon since 1981)and SweetSpot Group Limited (operators of The Tour of Britain).

As part of the deal ŠKODA UK will supply 30 cars for the event; these include the flagship ŠKODA Superb, Octavia Estate, Yeti and the all-new Rapid hatchback. With up to 1,700 litres of load capacity and clever accessories such as roof bars, an internal bicycle holder and towbar preparation; the vehicles will assist cyclists as they cover 140 miles of road.
