Role Responsibility

The Senior Producer will have the responsibility for the planning, execution and delivery of the component parts for the BBC Sport Get Inspiredinitiative. They will play a leading role in helping to deliver the primary objective- to encourage sports participation across the UK through partnerships.

While this is their primary role, they may also be asked to work across different programmes, outputs or platforms.

The Ideal Candidate

Must be an excellent strategic thinker with a leadership style that inspires staff participation in decision making. Strong experience in a management role, operating in a complex environment is a requirement, as is a sound business and finance understanding. This should be coupled with valid experience of working in a production environment which specialises in high pressure content creation.

Our Senior Producer should be highly experienced in working creatively and collaboratively with senior editorial figures; demonstrating the ability to influence and persuade colleagues. A proven ability to strategically plan and successfully present information concisely will ensure the Get Inspired team deliver a distinctive, creative, multi-platform participation campaign providing clear project vision. A keen knowledge of the participation sports environment as well as an interest in the UK sport scene would complement this role.
