Russia Could Miss 2018 Winter Paralympics

The President of the International Paralympic Committee has revealed that Russia may be still banned for next year’s Winter Paralympics.

Sir Philip Craven said he was unsure of Russian involvement in the 2018 Games in Korea, after the Sochi 2014 edition was ”tarnished” by allegations of Russian doping.

Russian athletes were handed a ban from all Paralympic competition in the wake of the initial McLaren report, which alleged of a sytematic doping program within Russian athletics.

Russia won 30 of the 72 Gold Medals available at the 2014 Games in Sochi.
