Road to 2024: IOC Confirms Receipt of Final Olympic Bid Books

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) have confirmed that three bids for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games have met the deadline for submission of final bid documents.

The European capital cities of Paris and Budapest join American city Los Angeles in the race to host the 2024 Games, and all three bidding cities have submitted the necessary paperwork to the IOC headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The latest and final documents to be submitted focus on the delivery and experience of the Games, and the IOC Evaluation Commission now possess all relevant records as they seek to assess the bids.

The international promotion stage for the bidding process is now open, and bids are now able to publicise their campaigns to stakeholders to gain support.

The election of the host city will be held at the IOC all-members session scheduled for September 13 in Lima, Peru.
