Sportsworld and Financial Times Partner to Launch Corporate World Championships

The world of elite sport has long understood how to equip the minds of individuals and teams with the required resilience and control to win against the best competition. Thanks to the Financial Times Corporate World Championships (FTCWC), ed the world of business can now benefit from this understanding.

The FTCWC is an unprecedented opportunity for businesses to benefit from elite psychological performance training. Merging the worlds of elite sport and business, see it has been developed to help companies address the challenges of maintaining a high-performing, thumb resilient workforce and building teamwork and leadership.

During September 2016, corporate teams will compete in six Olympic sports at world-class venues. The six sports included are triathlon, cycling, swimming, golf, sailing and running.  Integral to the FTCWC experience is a performance programme led by a team of top human performance experts, including sports psychologists who have helped train some of the world’s most successful athletes.

Companies participating in FTCWC will have the opportunity to enter their own team of athletes, as well as three senior executives to act as Performance Directors for the team, all of whom will be trained by the leading performance experts, Planet K2.

K2 help people and organisations think, prepare and perform like elite athletes.  They will also be leading a broader staff engagement programme to allow staff to gain valuable insights designed to drive performance across the business.

Companies will be provided with tools to aid the selection process, while the competition and performance programme are designed to deliver maximum impact with minimum interruption to busy schedules.
