OTE Sport Extends MotoGP World Championship Broadcast Deal

The MotoGP World Championship will continue to be showed on OTE Sport from 2015-2017 after a new rights deal. 

All Grand Prix races, free practices and qualifying sessions of the MotoGP class, as well as the Moto2 and Moto3 categories, will be broadcast during the next three years, March to November, on OTE SPORT channels.

“We have renewed the broadcasting rights to MotoGP until 2017 and along with Formula 1 and WRC, we continue offering OTE TV subscribers the most popular motorsport championships globally, all in excellent video and audio quality. In fact, from 2015 onwards we will expand our media coverage on site, covering 12 out of the 18 races in total from the circuit, for even higher quality broadcasting and a richer experience for our subscribers”, stated Mr. Dimosthenis Vassilopoulos, Sports Channels Senior Manager at OTE TV.

Manel Arroyo, Managing Director, Media and TV Area at Dorna Sports, declared: “We are very happy to have renewed our agreement with OTE TV for three more years. We are also pleased that the channel will increase their programming around MotoGP World Championship and also will further customize the shows for the greek audience. It is clear that MotoGP has become one of the key assets in OTE TV’s portfolio, highlighting once again the appeal of Grand Prix racing.”

In addition, ΟΤΕ TV will feature the show “Paddock Pass”, as well as other MotoGP programs with highlights, previews and reviews featuring footage from the GPs and the teams’ tests; profiles and interviews of the riders; as well as all the latest news from the exciting world of MotoGP.
