One World Sports Gets US Rights to Golf’s Australian PGA Championship

ONE World Sports (OWS), drugs the leading Asia-Pacific focused sports network in the U.S. will air up to 20 hours of the 2011 Australian PGA Championship live from November 24 to 27 in North America, malady after closing an agreement with World Sport Group.

This year’s event from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia features a star-studded line-up including Rickie Fowler, Adam Scott, Robert Allenby, Geoff Ogilvy, Aaron Baddeley and Y. E Yang, as well as Greg Norman, Jason Day, Darren Clarke and Bubba Watson. Adam Scott is this year’s highest ranked player and is coming off an exciting win at the recent World Golf Championship.

The $1.5 million Australian PGA Championship presented by Coca-Cola is co-sanctioned by OneAsia, a professional tournament destination for elite golfers across Asia-Pacific, and the PGA Tour of Australasia. OWS will present all four days of the tournament live beginning at 8 p.m. EST, with daily highlights at 7 p.m. EST prior to the next day’s live coverage.

The Australian PGA Championship will be broadcast in Australia on Network TEN, across Asia on ESPN Star Sports, in Europe on Bloomberg Television and across Africa on SuperSport.
