Northampton Saints Partner with StubHub

July 16, 2013

Northampton Saints will have the StubHub logo on their shirts until 2016 after a sponsorship agreement was struck between the Aviva Premiership club and the ticket marketplace firm.

Season Ticket Holders will benefit from the three-year Elite Sponsorship deal by having a place to sell-on tickets for matches they cannot attend.

Saints CEO Allan Robson said: “Aside from the obvious financial and profile benefits that come from being associated with a global company like StubHub, this agreement will also help add value to what we can offer our supporters.

“We’re delighted that StubHub have chosen to become an Elite Sponsor, and we’re confident that we will develop an excellent relationship over the next three years and beyond.”

The agreement sees the eBay Inc. company expand their presence in the UK market, with deals already in place with Tottenham Hotspur, NBA Europe, The O2 and more.

Nick Harford, Director of Partnerships, International, at StubHub commented: “After just over a year operating in the UK, we have been fortunate to secure partnerships with some of the UK’s leading sports rights holders, alongside global entertainment business AEG, with the aim of providing fans access to the very best in sports, music and live entertainment events.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Northampton Saints and look forward to working closely with the club to both activate the agreement and ensure Saints supporters have the opportunity to purchase tickets safely and securely from other supporters.”
