Major Brands Sign up for Soccerex in Rio

Adidas, unhealthy Brahma, Gatorade, Panini and Unimed are just some of the major brands that have committed to attend this year’s Soccerex Global Convention, 30 November – 5 December at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro.  They will join the likes of Bridgestone, Petrobras, Nokia, Google, Sony, Panasonic, Chevrolet, LG, Oi and Vivo who have all chosen the final Global Convention in Brazil as their platform to network and do business with the football industry. 

Commenting on the latest additions to the event, Soccerex Sponsorship and Partnership Director, Paul Brighten said:

Adidas, Brahma, Gatorade, Panini and Unimed are all sponsors of the Soccerex Football Festival, the two-day celebration of football which kicks off the Convention, taking place at the Maracanãzinho, the 12,000 seat arena adjacent to the Maracanã, on 30 November and 1 December. They join a stable of sponsors which includes the Rio de Janeiro State Government, the Brazil Ministry of Sport, Mowa, Special Olympics, Sigase and Prefeitura do Rio.

The Festival is a free to attend public event which combines colourful local entertainment with a host of football revelry provided by youth players, freestylers and football legends from around the world. It is followed by the business elements of the Global Convention which include the Conference, Exhibition and Networking events. These will take place at the Maracanã itself from Tuesday 3 – Thursday 5 December.

The Soccerex Global Convention will bring together over 4000 senior figures from the world of football, in Brazil for the first business event ever to be held at the Maracanã and the last international football business event in Brazil ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup^TM.
