Lacoste to Sponsor Miami Open

November 11, 2014

French clothing manufacturer Lacoste has agreed a five-year deal to sponsor the Miami Open tennis tournament.

Lacoste will become the official clothing and footwear designer of the competition with all linesmen, lineswomen, and ball boys and girls to be dressed in Lacoste uniforms.

Lacoste will also open two standalone stores on site for the first time outside the four Grand Slam tournaments, and will create a range of co-branded merchandise.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lacoste to the Miami Open family of partners enriching the overall experience of our fans,” said IMG’s managing director for tennis, Fernando Soler.

“The Lacoste partnership marks the largest deal ever in this category at the Miami Open and we worked closely with our team in France to get it across the finish line, once again showing the power of IMG’s global sales force.”

The 2015 Miami Open will be played from 23 March until 5 April.
