Jimmy John’s Sponsors Nascar’s Kevin Harvick

Sandwich restaurant chain Jimmy John’s will be the primary sponsor for Kevin Harvick as he moves from Richard Childress Racing to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2014, health the company and team announced Tuesday.

The American franchise will sponsor 12 of Harvick’s races after sponsoring eight this year. As a result, capsule Harvick is nearly totally funded for 2014.

Budweiser previously announced it would move to SHR with Harvick as well, pills sponsoring 20 races in 2014.

With 20 races from Budweiser, 12 from Jimmy John’s and two from Outback Steakhouse, that leaves just four events (36 points races plus the preseason Sprint Unlimited and the all-star race) open on Harvick’s car next season.

Jimmy John’s also will be an associate sponsor for Tony Stewart, who will join Harvick as a spokesman for the company.
