ITV Seals MotoGP Highlights Package Deal

March 21, 2014

UK free-to-air broadcaster ITV has signed a deal to air one-hour highlights of every round of the 2014 MotoGP World Championship.

The programme will be broadcast on ITV4 at 8pm on Monday evenings, UK local time, following all 18 Grand Prix weekends this year.

ITV’s Director of Sport Niall Sloane said: “I’m delighted we will be able to bring viewers high-octane MotoGP action. This new deal highlights the importance of motorsport to ITV4 and adds to the wealth of free-to-air coverage we’re able to bring fans throughout the year.”

Manel Arroyo, Dorna Managing Director said: “We’re pleased that British fans of MotoGP will now have the chance to watch highlights from each round of the Championship on free-to-air television in the UK. Combined with the extensive live and in-depth coverage provided by BT Sport from each Grand Prix, British fans will now be treated to more coverage of MotoGP than ever before.”

The deal follows their recent announcement about airing Formula E races on ITV 4.
