ITTF Projects Shortlisted For SportAccord Spirit Of Sport Awards 201

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has been nominated for the annual SportAccord Spirit of Sport Awards, with the Awards Commission releasing the official shortlist of nominees on Thursday.

The Spirit of Sport Awards 2012 will be presented to the Laureates during the 10th annual SportAccord Convention in Quebec, Canada on 24 May 2012. The annual awards commend the commitment and humanitarian spirit of SportAccord members who have made an exceptional and lasting contribution to using sport as a tool for positive social change.

Three projects and one individual will be selected for the Awards Ceremony in May.

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has been nominated for the following projects: ITTF Women’s Development Programme, One Sport, One Family, Nittaku Dream Building, Ping Pong Paix.

The International Table Tennis Federation is responsible for the global sport of table tennis and has 217 affiliated National Associations.

Table Tennis is an Olympic Sport, introduced at the 1988 Seoul Olympics Games. Table Tennis is also a Paralympic Sport.

The ITTF Dream Building Program is the new umbrella branding of the social responsibility programs that the ITTF is involved in.
