ITTF President Announces Candidacy for Another Term

Adham Sharara, ed the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) President has announced he will run for another term as President. He has held the position for 14 years. There are no other nominations as yet and the deadline for entries in 15 April.

Shahara announced his intention at the ITTF Executive Committee meeting in Qatar. The meeting is the last before the organisation’s AGM in Paris in May and was used to examine proposals from member national associations and the ITTF committees.

The 2013 World Cadet Challenge, apoplectic qualification and the playing system for the 2013 World Cup and the detection of “boosters” were amongst the sbjects discussed.

Shahara said: “The meeting was very successful with some very high level discussion and positive decisions for the future.”
