It has been reported that Queen Elizabeth II is in a "cold fury" over corruption allegations linked to the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee.

It is alleged that £250,000 (US$400,000) was paid to the British-based company AM Films, the organisation which provided the logistical services during the Queen's Baton Relay in London last year, without a formal contract being signed.

The Baton, which bears a message from the Queen, is carried by runners across the Commonwealth before arriving in New Delhi for the start of the Games.

A source told the Sunday Express newspaper: "The Queen's goodwill in launching the Baton in London has led to her being caught up in this matter although she's an innocent party."
