FOM's request to remove team sponsor brandings inside garages...

What do you think about FOM's request to remove all sponsor branding in the team garage areas at F1 tracks (including from the team haulers and other vehicles)? Are they going too far? Is this the first move to a centralized F1 marketing and sponsorship acquisition? Looking forward to your comments!

I agree. Without Bernie, the sport would be boring.. lol :)
It's good but does it have to be that hard?! lol

Hey guys,
so it's just another manoeuvre to prove that he always does the best for everyone ;-) It's always great to follow his strategic moves - and learn from them.

Very true Alastair, I think the Concorde agreement needs to be amended, in a right and neutral way this time.. lol

I assume this is a prelude to discussions over the next Concorde Agreement? I suspect Bernie will come to the table then and offer free-of-charge garage branding, dressing this up as an additional benefit which delivers greater value to teams and sponsors. Of course, the end result would be status quo, but in terms of FOM's share of commercial rights, surely the very best they can expect is status quo dressed up as compromise. Given how fractious the last Concorde Agreement discussions were, I'm sure we can expect a few more bolts from the blue in the next months.

Since sponsors are spending so much money into the sport, I think it is fair for them to have the best exposure to anything team related. Once again we can see that the FOM is trying to find other areas to make money. They should find some kind of compromise to make everyone happy. Let's not forget that F1 can be very expensive for sponsors and they are the main engine behing the financial well-being of the sport.
