www.sportspromedia.com

A warm welcome to SportsPro’s new website - I hope you’ll agree that it’s been worth the wait. The site not only now has a fresher, more distinctive look and feel but will now, more than ever, provide a fitting online complement to SportsPro magazine.

The main idea that has underpinned the development of the new website is to increase and broaden the content. Over the next few weeks and months we’ll do just that, with more opinion, agenda-setting discussion, news and interviews. I’m hoping that you’ll increasingly notice the immediacy of the site, reflecting the fast-moving, ever-changing sports industry in general.

Of course, we have retained everything from the old site, most notably the fully-searchable archive on sports deals and partnerships from the last two years. We’ll continue to prioritise – and improve – our Daily Deal service, both on the website and in our daily email newsletter. Already an unrivalled industry leader for the sports industry, with a growing international and influential readership, our deals service will continue to provide details of the major sports industry deals as they are struck around the world.

You’ll also find new features, including interviews with leading sports industry executives. We’ve also expanded our blog section, where we’ll be trying to give you a flavour of what the editorial team is thinking. It’s a work in progress, so if there’s anything you’d like us to discuss, focus on or investigate then do let me know.

Similarly, our guest blog will hopefully soon come to be an industry-leading collection of opinions and view from around the world of professional sport, with contributions from inside the industry as well as observations on it from the outside. If you’d like to contribute in any way, I’d be more than pleased to hear from you.

So welcome. Any feedback, good or bad, on the site is, as ever, much appreciated. In fact it’s essential, because we’ve only just begun.
