Holland & Barrett Renew Leicester Tigers Sponsorship

August 16, 2013

Holland & Barrett, the health and nutrition company, has today announced the extension of its sponsorship contract with Leicester Tigers.

The nutrition brand will continue their partnership for a further two years which was originally signed in September 2010. Holland & Barrett will continue its sponsorship of the South Stand.

Parent company NBTY Europe has also announced the extension of its sponsorship deal with the addition of sport nutrition brand GNC, which will become the club’s official sports nutrition partner and sponsor of the North Stand (currently the Caterpillar Stand), providing the team with all their sports nutrition products. The North Stand is English club rugby’s largest purpose-built stand, boasting 10,000 seats.

This will be GNC’s first sponsorship of a significant sports asset and is testament to NBTY Europe’s continued investment in the sports nutrition market. Located opposite the TV gantry, and with an extensive new branding position across the width of the stand, this deal extension will deliver valuable brand exposure for GNC to a national sport and rugby-loving audience.

NBTY Europe’s CEO Peter Aldis said: “The Tigers is our local club and I am enormously proud that this new deal sees both of our consumer brands share in the Tigers’ reputation for commitment, leadership and success. We share a common key interest in maintaining very high levels of fitness and health, and in our continued role as official provider of vitamins and supplements we look forward to fuelling the team and the fans towards even greater success in the seasons to come.”

Peter Tom CBE, Leicester Tigers Executive Chairman, added: “We are delighted to continue our already successful partnership with Holland & Barrett. Everyone is becoming increasingly aware of the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and so our partnership with both the GNC and Holland & Barrett brands is a natural fit, allowing us to work together to drive positive health messages to our fans and our shared local community.”
