Exclusive: HotelPlanner.com’s Orange Bowl Partnership to Enhance Company’s Ambitions says Hentschel

HotelPlanner.com being named the Official Travel Booking Partner of the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic will further enhance the company’s collegiate ambitions, according to CEO Tim Hentschel.

HotelPlanner.com, the leading provider of online services to the global group sales market, revealed last week they had partnered with the event to be held at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL on December 29, 2012.

The event will feature a doubleheader Division I NCAA match up between Tulsa and Florida State at 2 pm followed by Air Force and Florida, tip off at 4:30 EST.

Hentschel is adamant the partnership will strengthen their position in the market.

He told iSportconnect exclusively that the deal will “further strengthen our position in team sports travel and collegiate sports. We like to work with existing partners as much as possible since you already know the venue and people so you can be confident in the quality of event.”

Hentschel suggested they company is looking to activate the partnership through their digital platforms.

“We are looking at giving away free hotel rooms to fans on our HotelPlanner.com Facebook page and mobile apps,” he added.

Hentschel also revealed they were further deals in the pipeline with the organisation close to securing a partnership with Pinstripe Bowl.

He said: “Our partnership with the New York Yankees has presented the opportunity for us to be involved with the Pinstripe Bowl, which is US College Football. Details on that should be coming out in the next weeks.”
