Endemol Reach Deal with SuperSport in Africa for Dublin Super Cup

A deal has been agreed between Endemol Sport and SuperSport to enter a three-year deal for the Dublin Super Cup, viagra sale the major new pre-season soccer tournament debuting this July with the first team squads of Manchester City, Inter Milan, Celtic and a League of Ireland XI competing at the Aviva Stadium.

The partnership sees SuperSport become the exclusive home of the Dublin Super Cup in South Africa and a further 50 territories across Sub-Sahara Africa from the inaugural 2011 tournament through to 2013. 

The latest deal follows similar agreements reached by Endemol with Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland and with Fox Soccer for North America and the Caribbean. The Dutch company is also finalising agreements with broadcasters around the world, which will see live coverage of the inaugural 2011 Dublin Super Cup broadcast in over 130 territories across Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Americas. Further announcements will be made in due course.

Head of Acquisitions and Legal for SuperSport, Brandon Foot said that the broadcaster was very happy with the acquisition, stating: “This transaction yet again illustrates our commitment to our subscribers to provide them with world-class football content, throughout the calendar year and not only in-season.”

The launch of the annual Dublin Super Cup tournament follows a ten year deal struck in 2010 between Endemol Sport and The Football Association of Ireland (FAI).
