EMC Sponsors NFL International Series at Wembley

September 25, 2013

The National Football League’s (NFL) International Series have retained a sponsor from last year’s events with EMC Corporation coming board for the Wembley events.

As part of the deal EMC, who sponsored last year’s event, will also continue to support Super Bash, the NFL’s official UK Super Bowl party, and nfluk.com, the NFL’s official UK website.

After six successful International Series games at Wembley since 2007, the NFL is staging two regular-season games at Wembley in 2013, with the Minnesota Vikings hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, September 29 and the Jacksonville Jaguars facing the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, October 27. The Jaguars will also play a home game in each of the three subsequent seasons, 2014-16.

James Petter, Vice-President and Country Manager for EMC UK and Ireland said: “EMC is delighted to continue its support of the NFL’s growth and success in the UK. The International Series games in London have been a unique and exciting addition to the sporting calendar and it is great to see the NFL’s commitment to growing the game. We are proud to be working with such an ambitious and pioneering organization and look forward seeing the league and Wembley games flourish.”

“We are thrilled that EMC is returning as a sponsor of the NFL in the UK,” said Marc Reeves, the NFL’s International Commercial Director. “Our partnership got off to a fantastic start last year and their innovative approach to their business is reflected in their support of the growth of the NFL in the UK.”

EMC is a global leader in data storage products and services, enabling business and services around the world to transform their operations. The company is also a local sponsor of the 2011 Super Bowl finalists New England Patriots, who have won two International Series games in London.
