Chicago Cubs Renew Deals with Food Suppliers

The Chicago Cubs have renewed their partnership deal with Levy Restaurants and Ovations Food Services.

Levy and the Cubs extended their 28-year relationship with a new seven-year deal to continue operating concessions, ampoule suite catering and merchandising at Wrigley Field.

“It doesn’t surprise me, link ” food consultant Chris Bigelow said after being told of the renewal. “They have been very aggressive financially.”

Ovations Food Services signed an eight-year deal to provide their services at the Cubs’ new $84m spring training facility in Mesa, sale cialis Arizona, upon next year’s official opening. Ovations and the team had a relationship since 2006 at the Cubs’ former training facility at HoHoKam Park.

Wrigley Field’s current annual food and retail revenue is estimated to currently stand at $35m, a fall from $45m during the club’s full-capacity days seen just a few years ago.

Levy’s parent-group, Compass Group, the world’s largest food service company, has promised $40m on development and renovation at the stadium over the next ten years. The group is planning on trebling retail’s square-footage at the stadium by adding 30,000 square-feet of floor space.

“We are looking at opportunities to expand local partnerships and bring more authentic, Chicago-only flavors to fans as well as leveraging smart technologies to elevate hospitality,” Levy President and CEO Andy Lansing said in an email.

“Our goal is to expand operations in [both buildings] with a much broader selection of retail items to push our brand,” Alex Sugarman, the Cubs’ senior vice president of strategy and development said.
