Brazil and Czech Republic Bid for World Orienteering Championships

The International Orienteering Federation (IOC) has received bids from Brazil and the Czech Republic to stage the 2021 Orienteering World Championships.

Both countries registered their interest prior to the application deadline in December. The Czech Republic last hosted the event in 2008, and has also been the location for the event on two prior occasions. Brazil has never hosted the event.

Sweden held 2016’s event, which the next four events due to take place in Estonia, Latvia, Norway and Denmark.
