Blatter, Valcke and Kattner facing FIFA proceedings

The FIFA independent Ethics Committee have opened formal proceedings against Sepp Blatter, ed Jérôme Valcke and Markus Kattner

The investigatory chamber will investigate possible violations of four articles of the FIFA Code of Ethics, including offering and accepting gifts and other benefits and Bribery and corruption

This is related to the salaries and bonuses paid to Mr Blatter, Mr Valcke and Mr Kattner as well as other provisions included in the contracts of these three individuals.

The committee are also looking at a breach of Confidentiality of the FCE by Mr Kattner.

For reasons linked to privacy rights and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, the investigatory chamber would not publish further details.
