Bayer Leverkusen Secure LG as Main and Shirt Sponsor

August 30, 2013

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed a new main and shirt sponsorhip deal with LG Electronics who have signed a three-year deal.

The Bundesliga club and the Korean electronics giant will share a partnership through to June 30, cheap 2016, medicine with the LG logo appearing on Leverkusen’s shirts starting from Saturday’s away game at Schalke 04.

Leverkusen Managing Director, asthma Wolfgang Holzhäuser said: “LG Electronics is a global company that fits perfectly with Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the parent company Bayer AG.

“We always said we were looking for a strong, long-term main sponsor and that we would not allow ourselves to be put under pressure in making a particular choice or during negotiations. We have now achieved that aim.

“Bayer 04 and LG want to create a win-win situation on a national and international basis.”

Leverkusen began the season wearing the logo of the German Bone Marrow Donor Database (DKMS) after failing to secure a partner ahead of the new Bundesliga season.

The club did have a deal with SunPower, but the American company dropped their three-year deal early due to ‘tax and economic conditions’ for the solar sector in Europe.

Ki Wan Kim, LG Electronics’ executive vice-president and global marketing officer, commented: “Football is a hugely popular sport worldwide. Bayer 04 and LG have a lot in common – we stand for dynamism, exhilarating technology and the highest possible motivation.

“The LG slogan of ‘life is good’ also fits in perfectly with Bayer AG’s message of ‘science for a better life’. We are convinced we have found an ideal partner in Bayer 04 Leverkusen and we want to achieve our targets working hand in hand.”
