8.884 million viewers in Spain tuned in to watch Barcelona overtun a first-leg deficit against AC Milan on Tuesday night, and secure a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

La 1 TVE secured the numbers with an average share of 41.7% for the competition’s big game last night, with Barcelona beating their Italian rivals 4-0 on the night, to go through 4-2 on aggregate.

Despite the impressive figures, the numbers were still some way behind Manchester United vs. Real Madrid, which was viewed by 9.785 million viewers, a share of 45.4%.
