Baltimore Ravens Begins Relationship with Propane Provider

October 13, 2011

NFL’s Baltimore Ravens have established a partnership with ThompsonGas, United States of America’s 19-largest propane provider to benefit the Ravens All Community Team Foundation.

ThompsonGas will sponsor the Ravens’ “Three-and-Out” promotion, as anytime the Ravens’ defense stops the opposing offense in the first three downs, ThompsonGas will make a $500 donation to the Ravens All Community Team Foundation.

ThompsonGas CEO Randy Thompson, said: “Everyone at ThompsonGas is proud to be associated with the Ravens and their storied defense. The Ravens always put a great team on the field that gives its best efforts. We feel that work ethic and reputation align with our mission to deliver great propane products and services to our customers.”

The sponsorship is the cornerstone of ThompsonGas’ expansion in the Baltimore market. Headquartered in Hagerstown, Md., with service in 10 states in the Northeast and Southeast, ThompsonGas has served parts of the Baltimore market for years. However, due to the greater demand for propane and the opening last year of its state-of-the-art propane rail terminal in Baltimore, ThompsonGas is expanding their services.

Edward Burchell, Vice President of Regional Sales & Partnerships for the Baltimore Ravens, added: “As a 65-year-old family-owned and family-operated business, ThompsonGas has always been a strong supporter of the communities it serves. This is a great partnership to help build its brand and support the many activities of the Ravens All Community Team Foundation.”
