Agenda & Topics Announced For Digital Media & Technology Masterclass With Week to go

The Digital Media and Technology Masterclass is now just days away and the agenda and topics for the event have officially been confirmed.

The event will once again take place at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne on 28th September.

The confirmed panellists are:

Thomas van Schaik, Manager of Marketing and Commerce, Netherlands Olympic Committee (NOC)

Motasem El Bawab, Digital Marketing Manager, FIVB (International Volleyball Federation)

Emanuele Perotti Nigra, Director of Technology and Information, IAAF

Andy Oram, TV Manager, FIH (International Hockey Federation)

This Masterclass event will focus on current trends and developments within the industry, with first hand feedback from experts in the sector and discussions on the future of digital and technology within sports.

Agenda & Topics

2:00pm – Welcome speech by Seven League CEO Richard Ayers

2.15pm – One-to-one discussion with Andrew Oram & Nikki Symmons, FIH

2:45pm – Break

3:00pm – One-to-one discussion with Thomas van Schaik, NOC

3:30pm – One-to-one discussion with Alex Chamberlen, Omnigon

4:00pm – Break

4:45pm – Presentation by Mike Laflin, Sportcal

5:00pm – One-to-one discussion with Emanuele Perotti Nigra, IAAF

5:30pm – One-to-one discussion with Motasem El Bawab, FIVB

6:00pm – Wrap up by Richard Ayers

The event will consist of one-to-one discussions with each panellist, with topics tailored to their organisations and the work they have undertaken.

The first one-to-one discussion will feature Andrew Oram, TV Manager at FIH (International Hockey Federation) and Nikki Symmons, Digital Co-ordinator at FIH. The discussion will centre around four things;

– Implementing strategy change

– The use of content as core to strategy

– The practical realities, tips and tricks

– Monetising content

The second one-to-one discussion will be with Thomas van Schaik, Manager of Marketing and Commerce at the Netherlands Olympic Committee (NOC) and formerly of adidas.

The topics he will be addressing will include:

– What’s the change like from big brand to national organisation?

– Anything that can be transferred?

– Can big budget ideas work on small budgets?

– What are your goals and how will you go about it?

– Importance of CRM and data?

The third one-to-one discussion will be with Alex Chamberlen, Managing Director at Omnigon. The topics he will focus on are:

– The difference between big and small propositions

– Can you achieve things on small budgets?

– What are the tips to make an agency work harder?

– What are the landmines to avoid when hiring an agency?

The fourth one-to-one discussion will feature Emanuele Perotti Nigra, Director of Technology and Information at the IAAF, the topics he will be discussing will be:

– What it was like working in Beijing for the IAAF World Championships in August?

– What was learnt?

– What he would take from it for the next event?

– What can others learn from it to put into small events?

The final one-to-one discussion of the event will be with Motasem El Bawab, Digital Marketing Manager at the FIVB (International Volleyball Federation) who will address topics such as:

– CRM and Data

– FIVB digital strategy and goals
