Actavis becomes Central Sponsor of the European Trophy

Pharmaceutical company Actavis, find is to become the Central Sponsor of the European Trophy, ed taking the only package available that guarantees a brand presence across all 128 qualifying games as well as the finals – Red Bulls Salute.

Actavis will receive extensive board advertising as well as integration in all print and online publications, medstore the Actavis logo will be featured prominently on the shirts of all teams.

With the commitment to the European Trophy, Actavis is extending its involvement in international ice hockey, following its debut as Official Partner of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in 2013.

Lars Ramneborn, SVP Actavis Europe said: “As with the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, we are attracted by the international character of the European Trophy.

“This will enable our new Actavis brand identity to reach our target markets via the leading platform in European club ice hockey.”

Bo Lennartsson, Tournament Director of the European Trophy, added: “The commitment from Actavis demonstrates the increasing appeal of our competition for sponsors operating on an international level.

“With the European Trophy featuring top clubs from seven major ice hockey markets, the brand will benefit greatly from the competition’s growing popularity and media presence. Last year’s Red Bulls Salute was broadcast into more than 30 countries.”

The contract was signed with Infront Sports & Media, marketing and media partner for the European Trophy.
